Girls Soccer

Meet the Coach

UMS-Wright welcomes new Head Girls' Soccer Coach Christy Alford.  Coach Alford is from San Antonio, Texas.  She came to Alabama to play soccer for the University of Mobile.  She was a 3-time All-American for the University and holds the record for 2nd place in all-time assists and 3rd place in all-time goals and points.  She is an Academic All-American.  Coach Alford earned her Bachelor's degree in Human Performance and Exercise Science at the University of Mobile.  She earned her Master's degree in Kinesiology at the University of Texas where she was the Graduate Assistant for Women's Soccer team.  Besides her new role as Head Girls' Soccer Coach, Coach Alford will also be teaching PE in the Lower School.

The UMS-Wright Lady Bulldogs Varsity Soccer team is looking forward to another great season! After only losing 1 senior last year, the returning squad has been putting in the work on and off the field to prepare for games.  From conditioning to practice to everything in between, the girls have worked diligently and passionately.  The Bulldogs are looking to clench another area championship, pending a strong back line and goal-scoring strikers.  Seniors and captains this year, Abigail McPhillips and Molly Sullivan, will lead with poise and tenacity as we begin this hopeful season!  Come out to our games and support these dedicated Lady Bulldogs!     And be loud!
