We value our UMS-Wright parents.

The UMS-Wright Parent Teacher Association (“PTA”) shall serve to strengthen the UMS- Wright school community, coordinate volunteers, organize and manage specific events, and strive for the continued improvement of the school. The membership shall be composed of all parents of currently enrolled UMS-Wright Preparatory School students and current UMS-Wright Preparatory School faculty and staff.

A Message from the President

Dear UMS-Wright Family,

Welcome to the 2026–2027 school year!

It is with immense gratitude that I welcome you to another exciting year at UMS-Wright. As our school embarks on its 133rd year of educating students in mind, body, and spirit, I am reminded of the incredible legacy we are privileged to be part of.

The PTA's mission is to strengthen the UMS-Wright school community, coordinate volunteers, organize and manage specific events, and strive for the continued improvement of the school. Every parent and teacher is a member of the association. Whether you are brand new to UMS-Wright or a longtime member of our community, we are better together.

Our PTA is completely volunteer-led and thrives because of our strong partnership with our outstanding faculty and staff. Their support allows us to serve our students and families with creativity, enthusiasm, and dedication. There are countless ways to get involved, with volunteer opportunities that vary in both type and time commitment.

We invite you to join us for our first General Membership Meeting on Tuesday, August 25, at 8:00 a.m., immediately following morning carpool. Enjoy coffee while hearing from the PTA Executive Board and Standing Committee Chairs about the many ways you can get involved this year. Our general meetings are a wonderful opportunity to stay informed, connect with other parents, and hear updates from school leadership.

This year, we are excited to continue many of our favorite traditions while introducing a few new family-friendly events, including:

Parent Party, PTAilgate, Homecoming, Dogs on the Hunt, Daddy Daughter Dance, Bidding for the Bulldogs

In addition, the PTA proudly supports our school throughout the year by coordinating:

Teacher Appreciation, Student Receptions, Used Uniform Sales, Class and Break Parties, Spirit Nights

These events help create the exceptional student and family experience that makes UMS-Wright so special. Through the generosity and participation of our families, volunteers, and local business partners, the PTA is able to contribute nearly $100,000 annually to the PTA Fund within the UMS-Wright Foundation, directly benefiting our school community. We could not accomplish this without your support.

The Parent Teacher Association looks forward to partnering with each of you as we continue strengthening our school community. I hope you will find a place to get involved this year, and together we will continue building on the legacy of those who have come before us while creating meaningful experiences for those who will follow after.

PTA HIGHLIGHTS

The Back to School Parent Party

As our Alma Mater reminds us, “we have more than a school, we have a home.” As we begin a new school year, we’re especially grateful for the strength and support of our UMS-Wright community. The Back to School Parent Party hosted by the PTA allows us to reconnect with familiar faces, welcome new parents and faculty, and spend time together as we kick off another school year.
PTAilgate

The inaugural PTAilgate was the perfect way to kick off the season! Food, fun, and fellowship before the game made for a blast for Bulldogs of all ages. With the band keeping us entertained and the turf field giving our littlest Bulldogs a place to play, it was a night full of school spirit and community. We have a feeling this is one tradition that’s here to stay!
